Akure hots up as Akeredolu, Makinde, Mimiko attend Jegede’s daughter’s Wedding

It was a glamorous and joyous moment in Akure, the Ondo State capital as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party,PDP in the last Ondo governorship election, Eyitayo Jegede,SAN gave out his beautiful daughter, Ebunoluwa Eyitemi in marriage to her heartthrob, Folajuwon Olumide.

The wedding, attended by a deluge of prominent personalities, took place on Saturday at the cathedral of saints David’s Anglican church Ijomu, Akure, the Ondo state capital.

The wedding ceremony attracted dignitaries from all walks of life including Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, represented by Attorney general and commissioner for Justice Charles Titiloye, Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, former Governor Olusegun Mimiko, political associates from all major political parties traditional rulers, and other well-wishers.


The bride, Ebunoluwa Eyitemi was held in hand and walked down the aisle of St David’s Anglican church cathedral, Akure by her father Eyitayo Jegede for solemnization of the wedding with her lover Folajuwon Olumide.

In a sermon, Reverend Canon Emmanuel Adewale charged the couple to always live in love and submission for a successful marriage.

The bride, Ebunoluwa Olufemi was later inducted into the mother’s union of the church as the congregation joins them in thanksgiving.


Jegede, a former attorney general and commissioner for justice in the state and relatives wished the couple a blissful marriage.

The international event and culture center, the DOME venue of the reception was laced with a perfect blend of elegance.

Chairman of the occasion, Wole Olanipekun, a senior advocate of Nigeria, wife of the Secretary to the government of the federation Mrs. Olu Mustapha, as well as the bride’s mother Mrs. Eno Jegede enjoined the new couple to remain inseparable.
