Three friends arrested for gang raping lady in Ondo
The Ondo state police command has arrested three persons for allegedly gang raping a lady after getting her drunk in Ondo town, Ondo state.
Parading the suspected rapists before newsmen at the police headquarters in Akure, on Wednesday, the commissioner of police, Salami Bolaji said “Three sex perverts are now cooling their heels with us at our detention facility.
The trio of Ojo Olaniyi, ‘m’ (2) Akinseye Bayo ‘m’ (3) Akintosoye Ayo ‘m’ who gang raped One Ogungbemi Adewumi ‘f’ after making her drunk with alcohol have confessed to their atrocious act.
The incident which happened at Araromi Street, Ondo town forced the sister of the victim who saw her in her nude form, to report the incident to the Police. They will soon be arraigned in court. ”
Salami said “It’s all so loathsome, so degenerate that some criminally-minded
individuals still perceive Ondo State as a place that they can conveniently trade in criminality without being apprehended.
I have tried to make criminals know that I am not in Ondo State for the comfort of its Sunshine beauty, but to decimate all awful acts of criminality in and around the State.
Gentlemen of the Press, it’s about a month today since we last met here to showcase some of our achievements of the previous months.
i. After series of complaints from members of the public of a syndicate who specializes in dispossessing people of their motorcycles, the Police of Ondo State Police Command have arrested one Oluwajuwon for dispossessing Oluwarotimi Tosin of his unregistered motorcycle.
The incident which took place along FUTA North gate on June 6, 2021 at about 0730am was reported to the Anti-robbery section, Ondo State Police Command, who immediately swung into action; leading to the arrest of the suspect.
Items recovered from him are Nine (9) different kinds of motorcycles. He will soon appear in court.
ii. June 3, 2021 was not a good day for the duo of Seyi Adeyemi ‘m’ and Emmanuel Sunday ‘m’, alleged robbers and murderers in a case of robbery and murder.
It was gathered that the duo attacked one John Ede, and in the process of dispossessing him of his unregistered Bayaj motorcycle and other valuables, inflicted several machete cuts on him.
On account of this, police from the SCID, Akure were invited to take over the case and both suspects were arrested.
Meanwhile, the victim of the robbery attack has been confirmed dead by medical practitioners. Case will soon be taken to court on completion of investigation.
iii. On 24th of May 2021, at about 2100hrs, information received from a reliable source said a gang of armed robbers were planning to carry out a robbery operation in Akure city.
On receipt of the information, detectives swung into action and in the process, one Gbenga Kikiowo ‘m’ 27yrs and Aladeloye Tope ‘m’ 25yrs were arrested at Oke-Aro, Akure.
The suspects also confessed to have been involved in other robbery
operations within and around Ondo State. Items recovered are: one pump action gun.They will soon be arraigned in court.
POLICE DISMANTLE AN EIGHT (8) MAN ROBBERY GANG.
With the proactive nature of the Police in Ondo State, an eight (8)
man robbery syndicate that specializes in snatching articulated vehicles with its contents at gun-point had been nabbed by the Police.
On June 10, 2021 at about 2130hrs, the driver of a truck with registration number DTF437XA, loaded with about 900 bags of cements on its way from Ibese in Ogun State to Okitipupa in Ondo State was attacked by this eight (8) man gang at the Ore axis of Ondo State.
Luck however ran out on them as the Police got the intelligence of the attack and began chasing them; where seven of the suspected robbers were arrested from their hideouts.
They have all confessed to the robbery and have also told the Police the reason they inflicted serious injuries on the head and body of the driver, who is now recuperating in an undisclosed medical facility.The suspects are:

iii. Felix Aur ‘m’
iv. Promise Ede ‘m’
v. Alaska Isaac Ukpe ‘m’
vi. Sodiq Momodu ‘m’
